"I Love You Daddy"
I've been trying to catch this game on video for awhile. Annie says I love you daddy over and over until he tickles her. She is daddy's little sweetheart.
"LOVE YOU DADDY....YES I DO DO DO DO DO DO!"
"LOVE YOU DADDY....YES I DO DO DO DO DO DO!"

Annie kept saying, "I have to beep these mom." I did not understand until I caught this on film.
Disclaimer: Coyote Ugly is one of my favorites because the musician works hard and makes it as a song-writer. I know it is not the classiest movie.

A Lesson in Faith
Today's first reading is about Job and how everything is taken away from him.
Then Job began to tear his cloak and cut off his hair.
He cast himself prostrate upon the ground, and said,
"Naked I came forth from my mother's womb,
and naked shall I go back again.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
blessed be the name of the LORD!"
I know in my heart and have always been taught that this is true faith. You don't feel God and everything is not going your way and you still praise God. I'm not sure that I am at that same level of having true faith like Job, but I hope that I can teach my children so they will have that kind of faith. Annie got to go to "Catechisis of the Good Shepherd" this morning. It's a hands-on (Montessori approach) experience of the Scriptures and Sacrements. I hope and pray that it will be one more opportunity for Annie to learn her faith while having fun with the other kids. The founder of "Catechisis of the Good Shepherd" said,
"If we want to help the child draw nearer to God, we should with patience and courage seek to go always closer to the vital nucleus of things. This requires study and prayer. The child will be our teacher if we know how to observe."

My Day as a Stay-at-Home Mom
Who would use this strange gadget?
My friend Angela moved into our cottage. Her mom bought her the above item as a moving out present(among other wonderful things. She was laughing and wondering when she would use it. Today, thanks to my almost two-year old, I was in dire need of the GOPHER DELUXE. I had to pull out lots of items from down our bathroom air register so it would still be cool in our house this afternoon.
All my lovely treasures that I found! "YLUCKY" as Charlie would say. I am now much more appreciative of the GOPHER DELUXE and my AIR FILTERS that block all that gross stuff that was blowing in my face as I saved the day as just a STAY-AT-HOME MOM.

Drawing
When Annie turned 2, Theresa and Cory got her an Aquadoodle. It's great because it draws with water and there are no messes. Charlie is 22 months and loving his sister's toy now! His first full sentence. "There's the doggie."

Grandparent's Day
Well I did not know it, but yesterday was grandparent's day. We actually were blessed with time with all the grands this weekend. Saturday we went and watched Aunt Kate dominate the court in volleyball. Then papa, grandma, and Aunt Mary came to our house to cook out on the grill and enjoy some cooler weather (Finally!). Annie entertained us with her usual self that we love so much and Charlie actually performed with all of his big boy words. Sunday my mom came over for breakfast and we went and fed the ducks. Charlie switched from calling them "Du" to "Duckies"! He once again tried to join them in the "Water!" which he yelled the whole time. Then we went over to my mom's house where my mom's neighbor let Charlie play with a pop gun. He showed Charlie once and that was it!
Video below:
We went and watched daddy play soccer. Then we ate dinner together, which apparently Charlie really enjoyed as you can see on his face.
And the day ended with letting the kids swing on the swings for a few minutes before my mom headed home for some well-deserved R&R.

Incredible Time at the Mountains
Some pictures are mine but most are compliments of the wonderful photographers and my dear friends Katherine Coble and Mary Scheirer.
The Bus Ride
Late nights yet incredible sharing
Love these girls
And love that they love my kids
We got to retreat with God's Word
We got to praise Him with music
And survive on GOLDFISH

True Joy
Annie cracks me up with the things she comes up with lately.
Incidence 1: She was coloring chameleons the other day and I told her that we should color them red, orange, green, and brown because they change colors. She said, "Mommy, that's CHANGEAMORPHISIS!"
Incidence 2: We were going to run down to Lake Olmstead and kick the soccer ball around with the kids so Annie went upstairs to put on socks and tennis shoes. This is what she wore.
The socks in her mind I guess complimented the dress, but were pulled up like soccer socks.
Incidence 3:
No explanation: Just too cute!
