This Girl Can Make Some Noise

Maggie is totally into anyone who is 6 feet away right now. Let me explain. If daddy walks in the room, she shrieks. She likes it when he holds her, but she loves it when he stands from across the room and smiles at her. At church last night, there was a little girl spinning around in the narthex and every time Maggie would shriek. The kids made a game out of it this evening. They would leave the room, then sprint back and stop in front of Maggie. As soon as they were in viewing distance, she let out her shriek to show she could see them. Watch below:

Christmas at Grandmama's House

We spent Friday evening with grandmama for her special Christmas festivities of a delicious chicken dinner, Dominic the Donkey, and present opening. Annie and Charlie looked so adorable in their pajamas grom grandmama.

Swings

ALL 3 kids love the swing set John built for them for Christmas. They've been able to play on it everyday since Christmas. For all my friends in Ohio, I know that this is a strange concept. Swings in December? But yes it has been in the 60's and 70's here.

I'm Going

Here is Charlie putting on his shoes. Let me give you some background. We cannot get Charlie to put on his shoes ever, even to go outside to play on the swings which he loves. Here you will see a video that motivates Charlie enough to put on his socks and shoes all by himself.

It was a very fun visit from Uncle Joe, Aunt Angela, and Thomas. We were all sad to see them leave, but Charlie especially.

Aprons

Annie and Charlie worked so hard today to get the upstairs in order. Our New Year's Resolution is to get rid of the piles. Annie was a trooper and well Charlie helped a little. We cleared out the old toys to make room for all the awesome stuff that the kids got this Christmas. We are going to label so the kids can clean up afterwards. I have high hopes that this will work.......................................................................................................................................................................................................for at least the next month. Then if it is chaotic again, we will reevaluate and try again. Thank you to Aunt Angela and Uncle Joe for giving us a hand to make this possible. Annie's incentive was a special craft if she cleaned today. She asked Angela, "Even if it is dark from ALL THIS CLEANING, can we still do the craft when we're done." Aunt Angela assured her that the craft would happen tonight. The kids made clay art this evening. See below for the final products.

Christmas Recital 2011

Annie came for the first time this year and was very well-behaved. She is posing with her buddy Stephen.
