Our Negotiator

At night when Annie doesn't follow directions we take away her book reading time. This is a great consequence "at the moment" to motivate her to listen. John was putting her to bed the other night and she wasn't listening so instead of reading 3 books with Annie, he told her just one. She responds, "I want to read Nemo!" (Daddy realized after reading the book that it was a CHAPTER book with 32 pages.) She's getting too smart.

Pendleton King Park

My friend Anna invited a bunch of us moms to go to the park yesterday. We met at our house and walked to the back entrance of the park. It is so nice living so close :). The kids played on both playgrounds and then we ate lunch and fed the geese and turtles. Well we tried but they weren't very hungry. I got some beautiful pictures.

And we're off to the park!

Saint Patrick's Day

We had a blast at the parade even with the rain. When it was done the kids just wanted to be home so we left and Annie was so excited to get home and take a nice warm bath.

Trip to Mc Donalds for Ice Cream

Annie and Charlie bear went to Mc Donald's last weekend with Aunt Monica. While they were eating at the table a little girl came up to say hi. Annie turned and said,
"HEY BUDDY!" Monica asked Annie if she wanted to go play. Annie responded, "Sure I'll go play with the kid." The mom and Monica burst out laughing.

Wonderful Week

This week has been a wonderful week which is surprising since we are in the midst of house selling/buying/"Where does God want us to be?". Last Sunday a group went to play Ultimate Frisbee and it was so much since it was a group of us that hung out more when John and I were engaged. It was so crazy to be hanging out with the same group with which we studied Theology of the Body so many years ago and now 3 couples were there now with their children and one was now a brother with the Franciscans who was visiting for the week. Also that weekend John installed a new door which he and my brother-in-law had found on the side of the road. ( In know we always find things like this ... leater couches, bedroom set and mattress, etc. I am thankful that God takes cares of us.)Tuesday we got to go to Reconciliation. We went late because they were doing the Parish mission before and new that our toddlers would not sit quietly. As we arrived the priests were finding their spots and one slipped into the door right next to the Narthex and John and I were able to tag team confessions. Thursday my friend Anna had some moms over for play group. We decided to begin and end with prayer intentions and talk about how God present in our weeks. It was so uplifting. I had to drop off a letter for my mom and she was headed out to lunch. Normally I cannot go with her due our strict napping schedules. We were just at the right time so we a wonderful time at Olive Garden and the kids laughed and played the whole time. Charles covered himself in pasta and Annie filled up on Andes mints. Friday we hired our neighbor who is a landscaper and he and John haved worked their behinds off these past 3 days to make this house look so darlin. It really looks like a completely different house. Mary came over and graciously took Annie to the "MAN STORE" to get more supplies. Tommorow I will blog of that adventure. Maybe I will have Mary guess blog. My friend Angela came over and we painted the dining room till 1 in the morning, but had a blast chatting and laughing, maybe it was the paint fumes because I know painting is not supposed to be that much fun. Kate and Monica came and played with the kids, played wii and kicked my butt, and took the kiddos to Mc Donalds. Anyways this is what happens when I blog once a week. I will stop now, but we truly appreciate all of our family and friends who are always around to make our lives so good.

Visit From Uncle Matt

Thank you Uncle Matt for Coming to Visit ! ! !

We had a great time picking Uncle Matt up from the airport. Annie got really excited about making him a sign to give him when we got there. The airport is the best place for kids- Wide open spaces to run freely (It was 8:30pm at the Augusta airport so no one was really there) and moving floors (the baggage claim). Who do you think liked the baggage claim? Gina's girls and Annie were well behaved so of course it was our 15 month little boy who was climbing on it over and over again. I did not have my camera but Gina did so click on the link below to see some great pictures of our visit to the airport to pick up Uncle Matt.

Uncle Matt's Visit

15 Months Old

Our Little boy is 15 months old! He is cute as can be but getting into everything- Walking all over and climbing on our humidfiers, couches, annie's rocking chair, and of course the potty. He keeps us moving. I want to sit and read with him right now or do an activity like putting the shapes into the right holes but he is more interested in exploring. Boys are so different from girls!

The Stats from his appointment:
Weight: 23-8 (40%)
Length: 30 1/2 (20%)
