Daily Chores

Andrea is a pro at getting her work done around the house. She takes her own initiative to put away the silverware.

Algebra

I helped a friend with Algebra today. This was Andrea's reaction.

After a few minutes of us discussing coefficients and cubed roots she had grabbed her blanket and passed out on the floor. Apparently puzzle pieces and cheerios are rather comfortable.

Tell Us What You Think!

We are loving the comments! It is so much fun to get on and see who is keeping up with the blog.

Pro-Life

This is our little shout out to everyone to be pro-life! We are praying like crazy this week against the FOCA (Freedom of Choice Act). We went to Women's Preferred Health to pray on Saturday. The parking lot was full. It was so so sad! We just have to keep praying!

Smilin Charles

Smilin Charles takes after his dad.

Our Little Runner

Andrea is quite the athlete. She can jump with both feet off the ground. She loves the Lammers trampoline (Don't worry! There's a net!) She was running on the treadmill and she kept pushing John's arms off of her. She got up to 3 m.p.h. Check out the footage from Christmas at the Roses'.

Big Sister

We were worried about how Andrea might treat Charles, but she has been so compassionate towards him.

Once she puts her baby to sleep, then it’s time for “Out tide! Out tide!” Yesterday she was having a blast playing “out tide” with daddy while he was working until she took a face plant and scraped up her nose. She always gets so excited that she forgets to look down at the messes she just created.

I Like to Talk

I took Andrea to the doctor's office this week and the nurse asked, "How many words is she saying now?" I took a guess of about 10-15 words. I started thinking about it and Andrea knows a ton of words, well you know what I mean. John reminds me that it's really syllables and itonations and isn't as impressed. Here is the list. (You can skip this part if it bores you, but I'm just curious. Plus it will be a cool record to keep since this is pretty much Andrea's baby book now.)
1. mommy (I've moved up from mama! She's so big.)
2. daddy
3. baby
4. again (gin)
5. ball (ba)
6. two (du)
7. five (We cover the other numbers)
8. blue (bu)
9. up (Abba-She's likes to call on the Lord for help.)
10.all done
11.shoe (du)
12.more (moah)
13.cracker
14.eye
15.mouth (moe)
16.teeth (tee)
17.no
18.papa
19.Monica (oica)
20.Elijah (eligah)
21.dog
22.milk
23.car
24.juice (du)
25.outside (outtide)
26.play(pay)
27.thank you (danku)
28.mine
29.bye
Okay so alot of them are pretty much the b, d, and m beginning sounds, but she is communicating and at least I know what she wants or moreso what she doesn't want now. My favorite (# 30)is that she calls her diaper her "pooper" and you can understand this one as clear as day. Andrea talks in long sentences all day long as she plays. The other words in the sentences I'm still trying to decode.

We Survived!

We survived the two weddings and Christmas. We drove through an ice storm in Toledo. Andrea went sledding in the living room on her new sled from Aunt Angela since there was no snow on the ground. Monica, Angela, and I went running in the snow flurries.

Andrea actually did walk down the aisle at Ang's wedding. She stole the show at the reception with her crazy dance moves. We'll get the footage from Aunt Monica's camera and post it soon!

Now it's time for a whole lot of R & R!
