I took Andrea to the doctor's office this week and the nurse asked, "How many words is she saying now?" I took a guess of about 10-15 words. I started thinking about it and Andrea knows a ton of words, well you know what I mean. John reminds me that it's really syllables and itonations and isn't as impressed. Here is the list. (You can skip this part if it bores you, but I'm just curious. Plus it will be a cool record to keep since this is pretty much Andrea's baby book now.)
1. mommy (I've moved up from mama! She's so big.)
2. daddy
3. baby
4. again (gin)
5. ball (ba)
6. two (du)
7. five (We cover the other numbers)
8. blue (bu)
9. up (Abba-She's likes to call on the Lord for help.)
10.all done
11.shoe (du)
12.more (moah)
13.cracker
14.eye
15.mouth (moe)
16.teeth (tee)
17.no
18.papa
19.Monica (oica)
20.Elijah (eligah)
21.dog
22.milk
23.car
24.juice (du)
25.outside (outtide)
26.play(pay)
27.thank you (danku)
28.mine
29.bye
Okay so alot of them are pretty much the b, d, and m beginning sounds, but she is communicating and at least I know what she wants or moreso what she doesn't want now. My favorite (# 30)is that she calls her diaper her "pooper" and you can understand this one as clear as day. Andrea talks in long sentences all day long as she plays. The other words in the sentences I'm still trying to decode.

okay...I love this...except...if she is calling to you from the other room and saying "du" you wouldn't know if she wanted, to count loudly, oput a shoe on, or a cup of juice...I mean you could be taking care of Charles and she'd be all "DU DU DU" and she's got two shoes full of juice...and where are you then????
