We got up and Aunt Mary went with us to get yummy donuts and spent the day with us. At breakfast Annie asked if Emma was coming with us to see CARS 2 so we called Aunt Gina and she course said YES! We could hear Emma's excitement through the phone. We went to the movie and then to lunch at Cheddar's. It was a truly special day for our little girl.
Grandmama got Annie a Mc Queen for her birthday. She is ready for CARS 2! Grandmama and her Charlie Bear The kids are ready for the movie!

A Walk with a Priest
Well John must've been praying for us so much on the conference, because we've had the most blessed weekend. Today my mom and I went to a procession for Corpus Christi downtown. You walk with the Monstrance in the streets, bringing Jesus to the people. Here is an AWESOME link of when they did this in New York.

THE BEST PART OF THE EVENING was that when Charlie got tired of walking, Father Jerry offered to carry him and he rested on his shoulder for the remainder of the walk down the blocks of downtown. What a blessing Charlie had as he rested on the priests shoulder, as if he were resting on Christ's shoulder when too tired to walk.

Mother/Son Time
John was away on a conference and Annie was staying the night with Aunt Mary so Charlie and I got lots of one-on-one time. It was so sweet, Charlie said the whole night as we played together, "You and me. Mommy, you and me!"

And the Dance Parties are BACK!!!
My mom sent Annie a card in the mail that plays the song "A BUSHEL AND A PECK". When John and I went to put them to bed last night, the time was delayed due to a crazy dance party by the two of our munchkins! I know that there are 3 videos but I didn't have time to edit them together and they are too priceless not get on the blog for all their loved ones to see.

Pizza with Aunt Mary
Annie helped me make pizzas last night. Aunt Mary ate "ummy" pizza with us and then Annie convinced us that Aunt Mary would need her help organizing and unpacking at the cottage. Before Mary moved into the cottage, we assured her that the kids would not be down there all the time, but Annie and Charlie did not seem to be in on the agreement. They are just sooooo excited and want to see her the second she comes home from work. What an incredible memory they will have from their childhood of playing at Aunt Mary's house.

We're Back
We had a fun Anniversary/Ordination trip this weekend. We're glad to be back. Missed my kids! I mean who wouldn't miss this kid!
Singing While She Works
Annie's quiet time sometimes consists of her working in a workbook. The workbooks contain math and writing standards for Pre-K. For Easter she got a Dora book from grandma that has some of these activities in it. Today she sang her own little songs as she worked. Charlie as you can see was quiet during quiet time but not so focused on a task.
