Who knew Packing Could be so Fun?
We started lining the packed boxes along the side of our living room and Charlie was ecstatic to have his own personal jungle gym.

Swimming with our Family
We got to go to Brian and Gina's house to swim. We want Annie to finally get used to the water this summer. It was nice since Emma's house doesn't have lots of kiddies to splash her.

18 MONTHS OLD
Charlie has been with us for 18 wonderful months and he decided to celebrate the occasion by getting a little crazy. He gave himself a black eye. This stage is so hard for me with kids. They know how to walk and then their legs move faster than their minds and bodies can respond. Charlie literally walked right into the wall. Poor Guy!

Mud Run May 2010
The Augusta Chronicle took wonderful pictures:
I will try to narrate so you get the full effect!
The START
At the beginning they eased us into the muddy water.
Then they had us climb up this huge muddy hill and slide on our bellies right into a muddy pool.
Kathy why are you trying to stay so clean? You are going to get dirty in a minute.
The Tunnels
The wall... Where should I grip?...Oh wait there wasn't a spot.
Over and Under the logs
Oh did we mention there are more logs?
In the mud run you get a little MUDDY,
and WET!
There was a little over 4 miles of running throughout the couse
oopey goopey mud
That's one way to do it!
Some people apparently liked the nose dive approach.
Apparently this was a popular move!
I guess they're using teamwork.
Jumping logs... It was NOT that easy!
Jan Ceyssens- This wall was not that easy either.
The tires
It felt so incredible to make it to the top!
The finish
The fire hose sprayed us off when we were all done,
And our shoes went in the TRASH!

Monkey Joes
This was both Annie and Charlie's first time to Monkey Joes and they had a BLAST!
Sliding too fast to even catch them in the picture
Did I mention that if your kids are under 4 you can "assist" them on all the slides and obstacle courses. I think I had just as much fun. I felt like I was training for the mud run.

Jesus Says Let the Children Come
The other night Annie, my mom, and I went to the Saint Mary's talent show since one of my students was playing. After the show we stopped by at Adoration. I didn't even go into the pew because I knew that Annie would not sit very long. I knelt and so she knelt beside me. I asked her, "Don't you want to say hi to Jesus?" She responded, "Where is he?" I told her that he was up there in the monstrance. She put on a HUGE grin and waved with all her might and yelled, "HI JESUS!!!"
Mother's Day
Today was a whirlwind of a Mother's Day. Charlie has been teething so he's really been inconsolable. ( Otherwise he was really bummed he didn't get to see Aunt Theresa when Uncle Cory came yesterday. ;) )Annie woke up this morning saying numerous times, "My ear hurts." Papa looked at them and said we should take her to the doctor so we hung out at Augusta Pediatrics today. She had an ear infection in both ears. :( Poor baby! John felt sick too so he was out of comission.
The day ended well though because I started reading some books to Charlie and he cuddled up on my lap. I started singing and he fell asleep while I was rocking him. Too precious! It was the best gift I could've received today. He hasn't done this in months. I didn't get a picture tonight but the ones below are from the last time he fell asleep while I was rocking him.

Quality Time with Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins
Last Wednesday Uncle A.J. helped daddy with some work and Aunt Amy and mommy got to talk about the book we're reading for book club. Annie loved seeing Andrew and Addie. Then Friday we got to hang out with Uncle Brian and Aunt Gina, and of course Emma and Kaitlyn. We went to the park to play and and then to Yoyo's for frozen yogurt. We had a blast watching their static hair as the two little ones went down the slide.

Love Being a Mom
Friday was one of those days I loved being a mother. The kids just got along. It started off with Annie inviting Charlie to eat breakfast with her at her little table in her room. Then Annie provided some after meal entertainment by serendading us with a "Good Morning Musical".
